New York, NY — Mike Bloomberg today announced a series of audio ads featuring stage, screen, television, and social media stars urging women to vote on November 6th that will air across iHeartMedia stations nationwide from today until Election Day. These ads build on the “Vote. Because It Matters.” digital and TV ad #BecauseItMatters campaign which was produced by Mike Bloomberg and RadicalMedia, directed by Jodie Foster, and released on October 29. The ads running on iHeartMedia include select recognizable voices featured in this campaign. With over 90 percent of percent of the country tuning in to radio every week, it remains a uniquely powerful and relevant platform for motivating people to go to the polls.
The ads feature Ser Anzoategui, Tichina Arnold, Cher, Laverne Cox, Minnie Driver, Isabella Gomez, Felicity Huffman, Gloria Calderon Kellett, Minka Kelly, Olivia Munn, Jaina Lee Ortiz, Ellen Pompeo, Lele Pons, Lily Tomlin, Constance Wu and more. These influential women say if listeners care about issues such as immigration, healthcare, climate change, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, basic human rights, gun safety and gun reform, don’t lose hope, “Vote. Because It Matters.”
